Jer 31:35-37 | NASB2020 | STEP | This is what the Lord says , He who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night , Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar -- The Lord of armies is His name :

Jeremiah 31:35-37

35 This is what the Lord says,
He who ^agives the sun for light by day
And the ^{▼▼Lit statutes}fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,
Who ^cstirs up the sea so that its waves roar--
^dThe Lord of armies is His name:
36 “ ^eIf ^{▼▼Lit these statutes}this fixed order departs
From Me,” declares the Lord,
“Then the descendants of Israel also will ^gcease
To be a nation before Me ^{▼▼Lit all the days}forever.”
37 This is what the Lord says:
“ ⁱIf the heavens above can be measured
And the foundations of the earth searched out below,
Then I will also ^jreject all the descendants of Israel
For everything that they have done,” declares the Lord.
